The project focused on comprehensive theme development and custom widget implementation to enhance digital experience, while improving findability of key product categories and implementing security best practices across their digital presence.
Challenge
The initiative required simultaneously addressing multiple objectives including: developing a new visual theme and interactive components to modernize the digital platform, improving search visibility for core equipment categories while restricting access to customer account and transactional areas, implementing Core Web Vitals optimizations alongside basic SEO improvements, removing outdated site features without impacting user experience, resolving conflicting indexing instructions affecting product page discoverability, and implementing changes within tight operational timelines to minimize business disruption.
Result
The project successfully delivered enhanced search visibility for priority equipment categories while securing sensitive user areas through coordinated technical improvements. Key achievements included restricting search engine access to six critical account and checkout pages via multi-layered controls, comprehensive frontend optimizations that improved Core Web Vitals scores by 38%, theme creation with twelve new interactive widgets, improved discovery potential for three essential equipment categories through indexing optimizations and basic SEO implementation, and permanent removal of obsolete search functionality to streamline site operations. All enhancements were implemented without disrupting existing checkout processes or account management systems, with additional collaborative adjustments made to resolve priority indexing requirements for key product pages.
